Fantastic. Not only the best free chess app but easily rivals the commercial ones. The board looks fantastic, I'll be messing with this thing all night, thanks!

For android there is droidfish, it was compiled by a different person so you should ask him.

No, at least not in the near future. Of course we would like to offer an Android version, but we're just a small group of amateurs with limited time for programming, and none of us currently own an Android phone. Supporting every platform is - unfortunately - not realistic at the moment.

But as tano-urayoan points out above, there is an Android app named Droidfish by Peter Österlund, which uses the Stockfish engine.

droidfish for android runs on 2 cores (if you have a 2 core cpu)
and is doing 220.000 NPS with stockfish...

to me droidfish is a very professional program. the GUI is very perfect.
i have no idea what the ipad offers, but i doubt it is that perfect like droidfish.

Hi Tord, I wish there was an arrow key at the bottom to take back moves, go forward. It's bit of an effort to click "Move" tab and then click take back when I want to go back several moves.

Other than that it's of top notch!
