Only the Event tag is needed by ChessGUI. It is the beginning of a new game.
Your Nunn1.pgn is in a format I expect ChessGUI to handle.
I'll check and fix the problem in ChessGUI. Which version are you using ?

I have not yet found the reason why ChessGUI sometimes crashes while saving live pgn.
However, I have made SaveLivePgn() more robust and told it to document any crash with more detail.
