Gull 1.0 is out: https://sourceforge.net/projects/gullch ... p/download. Now with Ponder and MultiPV support. I expect ~15 ELO improvement.

I can see that you've learned many things from stronger engines, but I think it's only natural way of learning.

Aspiration search (see http://chessprogramming.wikispaces.com/ ... on+Windows) allows the engine to search deeper. However it's sometimes better to turn it off when analysing complicated tactical positions.
"Space evaluation" feature changes the playing style slightly and makes the engine play more agressive chess.
