Re: New EN-Settings for FIRE 1.1
BTW (sorry), "Bishop Value=325" is a default parameter. Please delete it in the setting "OPTIONS".
But yes, Knight Value=330 is new (higher number then for the bishop). All others settings are new to!
Have fun!

Re: New EN-Settings for FIRE 1.1
Tested by me against only Deep Rybka 4 (with a very well result) and against Houdini 1.03a.
Both tests with permanent brain. The test against Houdini 1.03a is not finished, played are at moment 36 from 120 games (with the 60 variations from the "new rating list"). Result at moment:
Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz, Blitz:3' 0
GUI Fritz 10
Hash 128 MB, 128 MB
PB on
Endgame Databases, EGTB's only GUI
Both engines with only 1 core
We will see how will be the result after 120 games? It looks at the moment, that Houdini on level 3m + 0s, is a little stronger. I have only 1 PC for all what I do. --> I hope that I can run the next all games in the next days.

Re: New EN-Settings for FIRE 1.1
Thank you for the answer.
The reason for the question was Knight value settings > then Bishop. If it would work against more engines it will be the new big fact for the K vs B value discussion.
If i remember good in CM6000 only the personality Lasker has had Knight value > Bishop.

It would be great if you rise the number of games to 200....

Both engines of course with only one core (see over in this thread).
I saw some games, and in my opinion 3 + 0 is not a optimal test. Better is 5m + 3s,
but I have no resouces with my PC (I have only 1 PC) for a such long match with 120 games.

Both engines of course with only one core (see over in this thread).
I saw some games, and in my opinion 3 + 0 is not a optimal test. Better is 5m + 3s,
but I have no resouces with my PC (I have only 1 PC) for a such long match with 120 games.

Peace be with you!
