This result can be found buried in the Tournaments and Matches forum but it was so important that I wanted to post it here as well.

I have been intrigued by this new version T53.x64 compiled by KLO.
Since there is always complain: not enough games ,so I have started 100 games match. So far after 52 games the score is 10-1 and 41 draws for Ivanhoe T53 KLO.
The fact is, that these engines are very close in strength. but the new version T53 at least on Q9550 has been stronger than Rybka 4.Those people who know can determine ELO difference with this kind of score.
Final score will be done tomorrow morning.
The Chess Elo Rating Difference Calculator at
http://www.3dkingdoms.com/chess/elo.htm
says that
+10 -1 =41 is
30.5/52, a winning percentage of
58.65% and an elo difference of
+61.
So the preliminary results of your test show Ivanhoe T53 is a whopping +61 elo stronger than Rybka 4!
YIKES!

No, I understand.
My point was to draw attention to Ivanhoe T53 so that the testers will start testing it.
IvanHoe T53 seems to be
THE strongest chess engine in the world right now.

It is not the strongest chess engine in the world. If you look at his tests Rybka 4 caught up.
And at long time control, Rybka will be clearly superior -( I am saying this judging from the few results we have and also t from observing the fast games themselves) .. On my 32 bit environment, the strongest invanho can only tie with rybka 4 -- houdini same thing...Just not enough games to demonstrate since a 1-5 game lead is within the margin of error.
I think a safer conclusion is that Rybka 4 is about equal to ippolit engines at short time controls.

notyetagm, I know you from chessgames.com and I enjoy your posts over there.
But when you make posts like this to say engine X is ZZ ELO stronger than engine Y, then you need proof with thousands of games. Just a tip.

I don't know how people look to a engine and say this one i stronger then the other engine, even you play thousand off games?
It don't means when you win from Kasparov that you are the best player of the world..and if a engine loose from Rybka it don't means
that this engine is not stronger then Rybka!
You have to play thousands of games, but against so many possible different engines, because every engine has a weak oppenent where
he don't like to play against it!
When at the end all engines has played against each other, then you can tell this engine is stronger then Rybka, even he has loose from it
in a tournament!
A engine that has loose from Rybka but get better results then Rybka when playing against other engines ,this will give him a higher ranking!
But i understand that every body want to see a engine that wins from Rybka.
