ChessGUI 0.189 is out.
The logic simplifications introduced in ChessGUI 0.185/0.186 have now been cross-checked and every found bug fixed.
Only Caparandom chess has not yet been cross-checked.
I strongly recommend updating to this version.
Matthias.

Thanks for the update! Previously, you said to wait before rebuilding the book. Is this version ready? Thanks!

Hi king, kingliveson wrote:Thanks for the update! Previously, you said to wait before rebuilding the book. Is this version ready? Thanks!
do you want to build those giant books again ?
1) Delete ChsGUI_Book.txt and the 2 books you created.
2) Setup GUI Remis Book creation (include testsuite creation if you like).
Limit ply count to maybe 30 for a remis book.
3) Create the GUI Remis Book (and testsuite ?) from pgn file.
A ChsGUI_Book.txt will be created, which you can later use to create a winning book.
I have not yet tested winning books to see whether they are correctly sorted.
If you create a winning book, don't tick "Last Pgn File". Then the book will be unsorted (and not usable yet) till I comfirm that ChessGUI is sorting correctly. Sorting a winning book is a separate lengthy task which can be accomplished later.
A winning book can be 98 plys deep.
