Bagatur 5.1c wins New Amateur Chess Engines Test, by CEDR 02-04.09.2024
https://chessengines.blogspot.com/2024/ ... chess.html

As promised, from time to time we will test amateur chess engines. This tournament was won by Bagatur 5.1c and achieved an excellent result winning all games. Second place was taken by the "interesting" CT800 1.46 engine. In 3rd place was the Euwe 1.3.0 engine. The Aramis 1.4.0 engine generates only errors. We checked it on another GUI - it is the same, it seems that it is a bad compilation.

https://chessengines.blogspot.com/2024/ ... rated.html

As I promised, we are increasing the number of tests of the most powerful chess engines. In addition, by increasing the number of rounds (6 in this tournament) we want to increase the accuracy of the tests. The tournament was won by Stockfish 20240820 Ivec, which is another example of how good this compilation is. In 2nd place, the HypnoS 220824 engine. Places 3 to 5 with the same number of points, the engines: Raid 3.6 TR, Stockfish 16.1 and SF-PRO 23.08.2024.
We encourage you to visit our website, more tournaments coming soon.

Berserk 13 wins Middle Class Engines Tournament (Tests by Jörn Gronemann, 2024.09.07)
https://chessengines.blogspot.com/2024/ ... gines.html

The tournament featured 1224 games, testing new versions of "middle class" chess engines. Berserk 13 emerged as the confident winner, while PlentyChess 3.0.0 secured second place, making a swift ascent to the top ranks. The Obsidian 13.0 engine claimed third place. Given the volume of games, the test results are highly reliable. More tests will be available on our website soon.

https://chessengines.blogspot.com/2024/ ... gines.html

Our first test with Stockfish 17. However, it only took 6th place. The winner was the Fidelio 17 engine, which had the same number of points as Yuliana 5.0. In third place was the Raid 3.6 TR engine. As we predicted, the official version of Stockfish 17 did not bring a breakthrough. Check our website, more tests soon. Jurek
