Weiawaga 5.0.0 wins Amateur League CEDR group A-07 edition 05/2024, 2024.07.22

100% result of the Weiawaga 5.0.0 engine that won group A-07 of the amateur chess engine league.

2nd place was taken by the Floyd 0.9 JA engine and 3rd place by the Integral v2 engine. The OpenTal 1.1 JA engine was also promoted to a higher group and took 4th place.

Stockfish 20240711 Ivec engine the best in the tournament of strong chess engines. Author - Ivec does a good job!
Places 2-4 were taken by the following engines: Marauders 3.7, Killfish 280624 and Steel Fighter 2.

Another test tournament of new versions of chess engines was won by Stockfish dev-20240719. In 2nd place is Yuliana 5.0 and in 3rd place is the SugaR AI SE engine.

Spaghet MariNNara 1.0 wins Amateur League CEDR group A8 edition 05/2024, 2024.07.23-24

The Spaghet MariNNara 1.0 engine, tested for the first time in the league, promises to be very interesting. He won the A-08 group with a very good result.
In 2nd place is the Bagatur 5.1a engine and in 3rd place is the Thrawn 2.1 engine. The fourth engine was also promoted to the A-07 group: Javelin 3.0.0.

Vault 0.4.1 JA wins Group A-09.Amateur League CEDR edition 05/2024, 2024.07.26

A-09 is the last group of amateur and new chess engines. The Vault 0.4.1 JA engine won, drew only once and won all the remaining games. In 2nd place Smaug 2.2.1 JA and in 3rd and 4th Cyrano 0.6b17 JA and Drosophila 1.6 JA engines. We draw your attention to Mephisto Gideon Professional (1993) - a program adapted to play as a UCI engine.

A large test tournament of new versions of chess engines was won by CorChess 20240712.
In 2nd and 3rd place were the Kookaburra 3.00 and RapTora 3.0 engines. We tested as many as 30 engines, you can see what their playing strength looks like.
The Catto 0.5.2 and Prometheus 0.2 engines had problems with working in the Banksia GUI.

936 games and another major tournament of mid-range chess engines is won by Berserk 13. Congratulations. In 2nd place the Obsidian 13.0 engine and in 3rd place the PlentyChess 3.0.0 engine.

First Test new chess engine Caissa 1.20, by CEDR 29-30.07.2024

The first test of the new version of the Caissa 1.20 engine is here. It lost all mini-matches with engines based on the Stockfish source code. Caissa drew with Lc0 0.31.0 and Berserk 13, and tied with the previous version of Caissa 1.19. Overall result +3 -14 =83 with very strong chess engines.
