Another large testing tournament of the best chess engines awaits you. That's as many as 1,300 games!
The winner was HypnoS 220624. In 2nd and 3rd place were Stockfish 20240623 Ivec and Raid 3.6 TR engines.

The 1st league of the best chess engines was won by Stockfish 20240703 Ivec - congratulations. In second place is the ShashChess 35.3 engine and in third place is the Corchess 20240703 engine.
The engines that took the last three places are relegated to the 2nd league.

Alarge testing tournament of new chess engines was won by Stockfish 16.1. This is rather a surprise, because this official compilation is almost 5 months old. In second place is the ShashChess 35.3 engine. Places 3-4 were shared by Sun 15 MPV and JigSaw 5.9.
Among the new, amateur engines, Stormphrax 5.0.0 achieved a good result.

Lc0 0.31.0 wins 2 League Chess Engines Diary-CEDR, edition 05/2024 2024.07.09

The 2nd CEDR Chess Engine League, edition 05/2024, has ended. First place went to the Lc0 0.31.0 engine, which returned to the 1st League.

In 2nd and 3rd place, the Lizard 10.4 and Velvet 7.3.0 engines - both will also advance to the 1st League. The last three engines are relegated to the 3rd league.

Engines in places 2-5: JigSaw 5.9, Kookaburra 3.00, SF-PRO 05.07.2024, Raid 3.6 TR.

The 3rd League of the best TOP-64 chess engines has ended. The engines that took the first three places in the table were promoted to the 2nd League.
The winner was the Slowchess 2.9 engine. In 2nd place is the Pawn 3.0 engine and in 3rd place is Texel 1.11.
The strongest players are relegated to the 4th league: BlackCore 6.0, Stash 35.26 JA and Xiphos 0.6.1 JA.

4League of chess engines TOP-64 CEDR. The Winter 4.0 JA engine won a beautiful victory. In place 2 is the Pedone 3.1 engine and in place 3 is the Renegade 1.1.0 engine.
Engines that took places from 13 to 16 are relegated from TOP-64 to amateur leagues.

A large test tournament of new versions of the SF PB 060724 chess engines. The 2nd-3rd place was taken by the JigSaw 5.9 and SF-PRO 26062024 engines.
We note the great result of the Caissa 1.19 engine, 4th place and the overtaken engines based on the Stockfish code.

Motor 0.6.0 wins Amateur League CEDR group A01 edition 05/2024, by Chess Engines Diary 2024.07.12

We have started the CEDR amateur league. The A1 group was won by the Motor 0.6.0 engine with a large advantage. Second place was taken by the Drofa 4.1.1 JA engine. Shared places 3-4 were taken by Kuma 1.2 and Reckless 0.6.0 engines.
These four engines were promoted to TOP-64.

That's exciting news for the chess engine community!
JigSaw 5.9 must have shown some impressive performance to take the top spot. It's also interesting to see Killfish 280624 and SF-PB 060724 tying for second and third place. These tournaments really highlight the advancements and competitiveness in chess engine development. Are you following any particular engine or tournament closely?
