It is not yet entirely clear what the level of Steelfighter is in competitions, but in terms of its tactical ability to solve complex positions, this engine performs very well in my tests. I would note that the difference with SUN 14 is quite large. But conversely, she also scores much better than Stochfish.

I would like more information about playing matches because in other tests I have done, playing difficult opening variants, she also performs well there. I think it could be a really all-round chess engine.

See the figure for the tactical capabilities of this engine. Gosse

Steel Fighter is an all-round engine with an extremely fast search. With Random Op. MultiPV=1 is faster than Stockfish. However, I have optimized it for Random Op. MPV=2 for quick tactical analysis and games on the Lichess server. Because of MPV=2, the computer should have 4 cores (8 threads) to be able to play with 7 threads. The engine is particularly good tactically, which is good on Lichess because it's not just Stockfish that plays there. If you don't have 4 cores, you shouldn't use Steel Fighter for online games. For offline games with Ponder ON (everything else is nonsense) you should have an 8 core machine to play with 2x 7 threads and Ponder ON.
Peace be with you!

Re: Steel Fighter New release: version 2

02. Juni 2024:
Steel Fighter 2 by Solista.

Download Win 64 Bit (avx2, bmi2, sse41, source code): https://pixeldrain.com/u/Z4iBbmAB.

Thanks Eduard, more information on his site.

PS
I'm runnig a test with Steelfighter 2Image
