It was created with ChessGUI 0.186(a). Ply limit was set to 100. I was just expecting a bigger book. there are no limits. The size of a bk3 book depends on:
- ply limit chosen
- number of won/drawn games in the pgn files
- number of unique positions reached within the chosen ply limit
Which ply limit did you choose ?
Anyway, < 60 MB sounds ok. You can see book details in debug files after games.
The book is only valid if you created the whole thing with ChessGUI 0.186(a).
Can upload the book somewhere for me to download and experiment with ? (I will not give it out.)

All 200705 games processed and temp file is 587 MB thick. The temp file is now being sorted to be spit out as bk3 file of about 25% (guess) size.
BTW, processing a pgn yields a ChsGUI_Book.txt file in GUI_DATA folder.
This txt file should be renamed to another txt file and used instead of pgn file, if book is to be created again.
That speeds things up a bit.

I have an idea how to speed up stage 3 of book creation.
I also may make it possible to interrupt book creation and then resume it later.
