Great! I just want to remember that the default parameters help solve positions. But if you are going to play eng vs eng switch to Random Opening Plies to 1 and Random MPV must also be set to 1.

Hmm.. I was not aware of that..too late now, e.g
I already tested latest Cool Iris 11.90 at default

But the good news is that,
I will test with your suggested settings as well :difus_19

GOOD LUCK )

The default settings help to solve positions, the settings I give you are for eng vs eng games...Otherwise Cool Iris could choose a move that quickly leaves it in inferiority. I have tested this in hundreds of private games on cutechess.

Many thanks for testing.

Hello Mr. Anton )

1st of all,
Who said that Cool Iris 11.90's default settings are weaker ?)
At least... not under my current hardware test conditions !

SCCT - CoolIris 11.90's Default Vs RM1: No Elo Difference

Code: Select all

1 CoolIris 11.90 RM1 +8/-8/=584 50.00% 300.0/600
2 CoolIris 11.90 Def +8/-8/=584 50.00% 300.0/600
RM1 = Random Op. Plies and Random Op. MultiPV = 1

GAMES:
https://pixeldrain.com/u/hLBhFiPz

Conditions:
2x Epyc 7B12, CuteChess, 1 Core, Ponder OFF, 30s+0.5s, Balsa, 64 Hash, 4-MEN
Note also that as usual for both players are installed two copies of engines
And as in all recent tests, in these matches too, Engine Learning was OFF

And now as most important note: ENGINE STABILITY COMES as 1st!
And unfortunately I can't say Cool Iris as very stable engine...e.g
In these test, Played via 32 concurrent matches, reason via 64 crashes!
Note also that Cool Iris 11.80 crashes too via 64 concurrent games, sad!
Sure I mean not stable in direct ENG matches..e.g if only two players...
And I hope the next new Cool Iris eng releases to be fixed...
Thanks in advance )

Btw, as far as I noticed too,
Mostly of the rest engines are quite stable via 64 concurrent games
Usually these strange crashes are appearing, who has learning future!
But not all of course..e.g I never noticed a single crash by Raptora 2.2

Best,
Sedat

I appreciate the test and the game numbers, on the other hand you are one hundred percent right, in some way such large coincidences destabilize the engine. But I can gladly give you a much more updated copy of RapTora 2.3, I only need a couple of days to deliver it.

Now, most engines that do not generate experience are more stable, I am thinking of enabling concurrencies like BrainLearn, but before doing so, has BrainLearn been stable in your tests?

Frankly I never seen any crash by Brainlearn, Shachchess eng series...
But not sure about Brainlearn 27, Eman 9.90, Raid 3.4 are stable or not via 64 ..
However, later I will test.. and I will tell you exactly...

But what I am sure 100%,
Incognito 5 Pro is quite stable via 64 concurrent games..
Recent Hashtable test can be as reference about its stability!!
Plus SF PRO, TG2 are very stable too..recently they are tested..

Actually it would better the question to be something like that,
Which engines are not stable via 64 concurrent games... if so :
As far as I remember, not always, but sometimes
The crashing learning engines with 64 concurrent are:
CoolIris 11.80 + 11.90, Sun Light 3, SpecTral, some older Eman series
Some older Raid vers etc.

In other words, not all, but some of them are crashing!
Sure I mean who has learning future... really sad...even when
Theirs Eng Learning is disabled.. they are crashing again...
Some of them quite frequent, even always.. some rarely...
In short, Strange issue...

To be more clear, when I say 'crashing via 64...'
It's crashing at the begging/starting of the test,
Simply GUI directly terminates...sure if only 2 players

Sure, I am interested in new Raptora )

Greetings

I'm not sure I have Incognito Pro 5, anyway I'll be happy to hand you over to RapTora 2.3, just give me a few hours. In fact, I'll leave it here for public download, I'm sure some forum users will be interested in getting an update.

Best regards;
