Nice...
And it will great If you'll release next Killfish as without EmbeddedNet,
Because I see no reason and non-logical to be included Dual Evalfiles in one exe,
Since almost all latest SF based engines prefer to use same Dual Nets... right ?)
In other words, (about my current organized candidates tour),
Mostly of engines are used to play the same EmbeddedNet DUAL nets...
That means minus plus x10 times (for nothing) more hard disk space is used...
Besides, for maximum performance,
I install for each Book Player a copy of engine...
And just in case, I mean as with External Net:
That means we may save much free hard disk space as well!
Anyhow you are the BOSS, and any case my respect...
Just my two cents over these issue )
Greetings

Hi Sedat!
For the convenience of some users I prefer to deliver the engine with the net embedded, on the other hand, this version does not handle the official net.
Whoever who wants to modify the net can compile it to their liking, which is why the source code is provided (besides licence, etc).
Of course, you must stick to the changes made, which is why I have copy the links to the modifications made available to anyone who likes to change wherever prefer.

And last but not least there are four different flavors in the winrar, and each user will choose the appropriate one for their device, the only annoyance will be the download size, after downloading it is normal for the user to delete the executables that are not useful, for those more knowledgeable users will compile with the source code and will add or remove what they don't like.
And many, many thanks for your great tours.
With all my respect to you.

No problem...it is ok )
On other hand, sometimes I wonder really.,
If X engine will be released with External NET,
What kind of 'convenience' we can talk ?) otherwise...
Just waste of time will be, space etc....at least for mostly users!
I am pretty sure for programmers sides as well, e.g via
Including same Evalfiles in one exe..then the download package is
Increasing much bigger in size.. sure depends on how many compiles
But something like at 5-6 times bigger.. that means in same time
More time will take for uploading on servers... and same words are going for downloading too
And just in case for my side (for running book tours),
I mean if for each book player I will install same 60-70mb exe
Then x tour e.g 100 book players x Engine 70 MB = 7 GB
While if as with external net 100 x 1 MB = 100MB + 70MB = 170 MB
Now you can see and compare about what I am talking..
Anyhow, and once more, my respect to you...
You are free to do your job as you wish...
But just I tried to be more clear now..
Btw, if not today, tomorrow very likely,
I will start the Online-Like Book CS,
So in bext book tour when ever will be..
I may use Killfish too...time will tell )
Greetings )

I understand your point, but in this case it is not the official green net.
I'll have a little more free time in the next few weeks and will update Killfish with polyglot and ctg.
I also intend to take a different approach to Cool Iris, but I need time. (I already have the idea and no, I advance it, it will not generate experience).
Thanks again Sedat.
I will be checking out your wonderful tours.
My respect to you.

Thank you very much, Anton 101!Anton101 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 12:59 amI've added the following patches:
1. https://github.com/official-stockfish/S ... 37b88cf576
2. https://github.com/official-stockfish/S ... 948a1957c8
I've switched to this net:
https://github.com/mstembera/Stockfish/ ... 00775a2d68
I've added "Minimum Thinkig Time" and, "Slow Mover", I've left "Minimum Thinking Time" at 0 for default for private testing, but if you use the engine on servers like playchess or lichess as a bot you can change it to 100.

Re: Killfish 231123
Apparently there are some situations that complicate placing polyglot in the current architecture, I will do tests this Sunday, due to work it is not possible for me to do anything, I hope to deliver it that day or Monday. It seems to me that Skynet is asking for support on the SF Discord. Well, we'll see what we can do...
