UPDATE

As usual,
I am very pleased to announce that
I started one of my greatest events !!

Note also that
Some are replaced/updated e.g some of them is
SOS engine, which already belongs to 2000 year...

To be more clear,
Some earlier engine vers are in DOS format...
So no way to test them in my current system setup..
Actually I can.. but too complicated will be....
Anyhow, I think that it's all right.. if nothing else,
JUST FUN TOUR... NOT WORLD CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP )

While I am mentioning about World Chess Championships,
Many of current engines are become as World Champions !

Btw, just one more small point,
No doubt that without the current chess eng masters,
Latest Top engines would not be so strong as nowadays!

And once more many thanks to all eng programmers...
Otherwise, the current exciting tour would not exist!

Anmon 5.09
Chessmaster 8000
Chess Tiger 14
Crafty 17.14

Breaking News (22.01.2024):
1st of all, here is just another tour...and instead of NON-NNUE, I realized
To name it as Classic CS, meanwhile, what does it means 'Classic' word?
Well, according to many dictionaries: Classic means Highest quality etc.
Ok. let's back to our Computer chess, after reading many of the comments...
NNUE seems to be better or worse? if you ask my opinion.. it all depends....
For stronger openings ideas, analyzing etc.yes..NNUE is excellent choice!
But using NN file (during active and serious games) how much is original?
This is other question of course but I guess via NNUE chess will be solved
Btw, mainly for this reason via my Classic tours...I'm doing my best about
Chess to be remained as unsolved ..you may know, I love much chess..)
And via NNUE, who knows? perhaps 'chess' is already solved e.g under
Serious optimal cond. ?) but what a pity that for right now (since NNUE)
No much data is available...I mean serious tours with optimal conditions..
Btw, forget everything..even the guys who hated Bullet...started to love ))
This saying perfectly suits: Eat a big mouthful but don't make big promises
Nowadays still our good days..if so..future 3700+ matches will be with ultra fast TC?
Yes, since NNUE we see quite frequent bad quality games too...sure I mean
Who prefer the very weak openings in their tests, personally I understand...
Since their target is to see more wins...and as usual (via SCCT book tours):
The ones, who prefer these handicapped openings are ranking at one of last
Places..I mean it's easy to be recognized..Ok let's Me say a few words more
Via this tour, it's like from the past to the present...e.g 2000s year engines on
New decent fast hardware, yes Blitz but if we are going to compare with past..
Then current Blitz games can be counted Slow time control, e.g just imagine
The 2000's hardware with present: a HUGE speed difference in NPS values!
Note that (as in previous, recent.)I managed to organize two separate tours..
What I can say more, the current tour reminded the past...it something like
I watch favorite movies, which never die...e.g one of them: Gladiator 2000

The Champion: Chess Tiger 14 - Congratulations to Christophe Theron!

Hi
Thank you very much. Chess tiger was one of the most aggressive engines ever. Sometimes we regret for closed projects. Why such successful projects shouldn’t be continued any more?

Best regards

You are welcome )

Agreed... CT14 is aggressive, with dynamic playing of style...
E.g at that time (especially during 2000-2002 years),
Chess Tiger was unstoppable..actually even nowadays ))

Yes.. sad indeed, but my respect..because chess is not all...
In out life, there are more and other important things too!
Btw, sometimes I wonder too,
Regarding when I will be busy more with non-chess activities too )
In other words, time will tell.. )

On other hand,
Not only Chess Tiger engine's project is closed,
E.g if we are going to check from the past to the present ...
Then we will notice that
Only a few authors are still active/releasing... at present days!

And as far as I know,
Only Rebel's author (Ed Schröder) is still quite active...
Plus Hiarcs's author (Mark Uniacke) is active ...and
Little Goliath's author (Michael Borgstädt) too, but not so frequent...
Fritz eng series authors seems to be as active...but
2000's authors and and 2024's are totally different persons!

Btw, also Wasp's author (John Stanback) is still active..
And in the past, his engines were named as Zarkov
Plus the author of Arasan (Jon Dart) is active nowadays too
But unfortunately, I could not test them...as main reason,
Arasan (without own book) gave pop up messages...
Where the available Zarkov series were newer than 2000s

Breaking News (26.01.2024):
Today I organized another new competition, where this time I named it as
Revenge 2001..the reason of running it...simply because Chess Tiger 14
Was newer in previous tours, released in 2001, where his opponents were
As slightly older vers., I mean almost all engines are released in 2000 year...
But now..via latest Revenge tour..all players are released in 2001, so I've
Done my best for more fair cond. if nothing else now I feel much better...)
Sure more games needed..but Fritz7 seems to be one of strongest of 2001
What I can say more, it is impossible to find engines, to be released all on
Identical date..sure as same words are going for opening books too..that's
Why sometimes not all in my hands..anyhow just fun tours..simply enjoy..)

The Champion of 2001: Fritz 7 - My Congratulations to Frans Morsch!
