1st Update of Champion of Champions Tournament,
Which is playing with Blitz Time Control: 2min+1sec

Note that BIN competition is already ended,
Where under Fritz GUI...still a long way to go...
Due to Fritz GUI has no option of Parallel matches..

For examples, for comparing Fritz Vs Cutechess GUIs:
Cutechess managed to compete 1650 games in about 3 hours
Cutechess's Concurrent option was 60 (in Game-Play mode),
Where Fritz GUI will complete 1950 games in about 15 hours
Note: 16 portable Fritz GUIs are running (in same time)
So in the end, each book player will consist min 450 games

And here are BIN's books standings (played under Cutechess)
As usual, Everest is managed to take the lead..unstoppable!
Sure for right now...let's see what will be standings vs CTG too..

Code: Select all

Rank Name Elo +/- Games Score Draw

   2 Goddess 20 16 300 52.8% 83.7%
   3 ORIONPAX3 14 16 300 52.0% 82.7%

   7 C.B Conqueror 3 13 300 50.5% 89.7%
   8 LesChats 151223 0 8 300 50.0% 95.3%
   9 Red Dragon -16 14 300 47.7% 87.3%
  10 StudentChess -27 14 300 46.2% 87.7%
  11 Lion 110423 -53 18 300 42.5% 77.0%

1650 of 1650 games finished.
To be more clear,
CTG opening books are under test too, not sure exactly,
But very likely tomorrow all the games will be completed...
And please stay tuned... it's one of greatest tours for sure!

Breaking News - 24.12.2023:
Another very special championship organized...but this time as players:
Only by Champions book authors..as usual the winner DON DON DON
Frankly, I am a little bit surprised...because there are many newer vers.
But it seems DON book's used TREND openings are superior strong...!
Actually here mostly of books are super strong too..some suffer..due to
They are old-dated already but C.B Conqueror (9 months old) still good..
And let Me say please a few words more about SCCT tours..regarding
Why I used to play under these cond. (I mean why Raubfish SC for all)
You may know or not...Many of SF based ones (as NON-NNUE) produce
Very high-draws..to be more clear, even as NON-NNUE..close draws or
Even higher than Raubfish SC as main difference is that (between them)
They are much weaker (for example, minus plus 250 Elo points) or other
Example, if using latest Top engine/s...sure they are stronger, but not so
Much as it looks I say 15-20 Elo, for anyone missed check / learn: Results
But let's say that we used to play. one of the latest, strongest Top engines
Then be sure.'fun' is dead..you may know, as usually I say over this issue:
To see a 'win'. it's something like Looking for a needle in a haystack..
What's point of using BIG umbrella? if almost no any drop rain on horizon...
Yes..87% draw-ratio is really not HIGH numbers for under Blitz conditions,
If still not so clear, I mean if we are using latest Top NNUE engines for all..
Then I suggest strongly min. 400-500 games (per player) vs various ones,
Because with a few wins...not as serious data to say such as best of best..
And this is not as joke... why I say like that? otherwise, the Error-margin
Can be too high e.g via 100-200-300 games etc. may lead to completely
Wrong conclusions about the real power, strength of the opening books!
Sure, I respect all other tours too..anyone is free to run at any conditions...
But at least now you see my point of view and I feel much better for sure!
Because time to time I have to make these statements, otherwise some
May start to complain that Raubfish is bad, crab (as before).....actually
The 'real' Champions never complain, because they are too busy with
Getting better..if nothing else mostly successful authors prefer that way..
Meanwhile, for more info about current tour on Goi + Openchess forums

Champion of Champions:: DON - Congratulations to Vasid Chouhan!
I admit also ORIONPAX, Everest, Goddess Unicornio etc are east too!

Breaking News - 04.01.2024:
Happy New Year! Wishing you good health, happiness and success in 2024!
Here is just another book championship and what is new? via current contest,
All books are played by ShachChess 32 vs Zeus 26.5 and based on testings,
Both engines are performed almost identically..download the strength GAMES
Note that tested many other candidate engines (with over than 40.000 games)
But I've picked the BEST, less Drawish..sure I'm referring, which are very close
To 3750 Elo points..as you may see, current draw-ratio is not so so high: 92%
Yes..still acceptable..because some other engines produce 98%-99% draws!
Yes. under these new cond. the played Bullet games can be considered Blitz
I mean, if we are going to compare with older tours (played by Raubfish SC)
In other words, I'm doing my best for more fun and for better strength games!
And I think that current tour is not so bad in quality...sure there is possibility to
Switch again to Raubfish...we will see..time will tell...but at least now, via new
Tour cond. some other authors may have chances to be Number One...why I
Say like that.. e.g I am perfectly aware that some are not happy with Raubfish
Ok..here is different cond..and what is changed? as we see..not much..again
DON, ORIONPAX, OPTIMUS, SENTINEL etc are one of the Best/Top ranks..
I admit also, Leschats 291223 (non-playchess ver) is doing very good so far...
Btw, DON Hercules's draw ratio is one of the lowest 88%, where unfortunately
OlisFish 201123 (by Skynet) is a strong, but draw master, current 97% draws
Sure..there is nothing impossible, but before..I suggest harder, original work !)
And with serious beta testings before sharing...otherwise...no much chances!
Anyhow..it is just a fun competition.. enjoy..and good luck to all book entries )

The Current Leader: DON Hercules 3 - My Congratulations to Vasid Chouhan!
Note: Any Book Leader (after 500 games per player) will be titled Champion

Hi Mr. Sedat
Hope you have a wonderful new year too. Many thanks for your interesting activities and this new, great new book tour. Without any doubt , changing the operator engine of tournament is a clever idea. Which can cause all the participant book makers, being more satisfied. They can compare the results made by different operator engines. Now by starting your activities I can say the forum is complete again. I hope that in new year we would have other active members in different parts of forum too. We need it for sure.
Best regards and wishes to you and your family.
