Instead of creating a new topic per update, why dont you just create a topic named "Polyfish" and post the updates there?

Just asking.

The systematic threads method that you suggest is much better, like outskirts chess forum. I think it's the right way, too. Because you can easily follow
the history of an engine releases . I have done it for stockfish , and also SFpb here as you see. Unfortunately this forum has a basic format, like chess2U forum. Although we can start to modify the system from now on. we need a poll(referendum) here. which format do the members want? They want to see an engine updates on a fixed and specific thread ( like OCF),which is a little difficult according to background of this forum and its initial
format done by its admin and moderators or members want to continue as before(new topic per update)? I personally think that the right way is the one you mentioned but ,I am ready for both situation . It depends on members decisions.

I totally agree with you, better to have a fixed thread and continuously post the updates there, probably easier for the users to follow.

Lets wait for the answers of the rest of the users then

Two new cases should be considered:
1- The thank button hasn’t been installed by admin team here. After a new update some members want to show their appreciation by writing some sentences. If we use a fixed thread some members would miss the main point(new update) among these sentences.

2- sometimes we have very long arguments in some threads which make them very polluted and boring for other members. Just like proteus thread(25 pages for nothing). There is no any moderations in this forum to delete these kinds of posts as we have seen till now. By current format(new topic per update) we can push this boring threads to other pages much more faster and somehow disappear them among other pages. Otherwise we should suffer from looking on them each time we login to forum.
Just reminding
