A fair and respectful way is to play against all opponents, hardware is no excuse, the only valid tactic is to have a good opening book or a solid experience file, plus a well-built engine. I've been playing lately with two cores, on a four-core PC. I'm ok.

ProteusSF is not the best despite cheating. Here is the current top 100 list from PlayChess. I (SolistaChess) am in 4/5th place and ahead of ProteusSF



I could also log in every day and brag that I have 8 Elo more than ProteusSF. But that doesn't make any sense and I would only make myself unpopular if I did that. ASROCK is a pure cheater, his rating is a fraud.
