Great news...

Thanks for the test.

Best regards.

A.Ces
Hello Mr. Anton,

Not at all...it is my pleasure )
And many thanks to you as well

Meanwhile,
Just I'd like to point out also that
1st of all, these kind of testings are
Quite useful..sure we need more of them
But anyhow, I think that these stats can
Be considered as not so bad data indeed!

On other hand,
Sure, if we re-run again...very likely
Then both Top engines will be more close
In points...but in my opinion is that
The most important: which engine is scored
Better in previous testings/tours ?

So according to SCCT's overall results,
We have to accept that
RapTora is RapTora..Reality is Reality!

And besides,
The superior RapTora's performance is
Archived also via Concurrent matches...
What does it mean ? in other words,
The picture is perfectly clear, I mean
It is not required to talk more, right ?!)

Greetings

I am convinced in the use of experience files in the engines for the following:

1. Improvement in openings: Experience files allow the engine to choose proven and solid moves in openings, which can significantly improve its performance in the early stages of the game.

2. Saving compute time: Experience files can prevent the chess engine from having to calculate certain opening lines, which can save computation time and allow the engine to devote more resources to more critical moves or later stages of the game.

3. Variety of play styles: Depending on the set of games used to build the experience file, the engine can acquire a variety of playing styles and preferences in openings, which can make it more versatile in different situations.

It only remains to learn how to use the tools that Deeds has left in his repository on GitHub, work on the training of the engine, and have patience, this takes time. But, it's worth it.

Thank you Sedat, I hope that with your work reaching many users, these same users become trainers of their favorite engine. As more users are interested, innovative ideas about the learning tool may emerge.

Regards.

Dear Mr. Anton,

Very good points..

What I can add more,
My main target via latest testings:

1. To see the Learning affect via Concurrent matches
2. Eman experience file to be played via RapTora 2.2
3. I've plenty data on 2x EPYC 7B12, but I realized
To see Learning influence on my Ryzen 7 4800H too

And after checking the above mentioned 3 (three) points:
We see that as usual, the mission is ended successfully !)

Meanwhile and as I stated before,
Via Concurrent matches, the tester/s may save CPU time,
In same time that means, we can save our Electricity bills!

Btw, this is also true that,
Via Unique v50 opening suite, the matches are not
So high quality games, but at least not so BORING!
E.g as you may noticed now close to 75% draw-ratio..
I mean, these draw numbers are really not so high!
Plus according to my other testings, via these openings:
NNUE 3700+ engines are managed to win many times as
White and Black !!

Otherwise, (sure in case of test NNUE 3700+)
Just imagine: we run a optimal test, based on
Super strong openings etc. then I say again:
What is the point of using an umbrella, if
No much rain ?)

Best,
Sedat

Hello Friends )

I am pleased to announce that,
RapTora test series in action...and for anyone
Interested, here are the latest played results

1st of all, about both tested versions:
AC = Anton Ces / EN = Eduard Nemeth

What I can say more,
Simply current tests are organized out of curiosity
E.g now we have more data about RapTora 2.2 AC / EN
Anyhow, I think that their points will be more close,
If the testings will contain over than 1500+ games...

Standings via Unique-319 openings: + 7 Elo in favor
For RapTora 2.2 AC, which is compiled by Anton Ces

Code: Select all

1 RapTora 2.2 AC +43/-30/=565 51.02% 325.5/638
2 RapTora 2.2 EN +30/-43/=565 48.98% 312.5/638

Draw-Ratio (based on 638 games) not so high: 88.5%
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Standings via Unique-50 openings: + 17 Elo in favor
For RapTora 2.2 AC...

Code: Select all

1 RapTora 2.2 AC +16/-11/=73 52.50% 52.5/100
2 RapTora 2.2 EN +11/-16/=73 47.50% 47.5/100

Draw-Ratio (based on 100 games) very low: 73%
GAMES:
https://mega.nz/file/SlAXzBQY#v0wfX-ivy ... PVZ9usKNY8

Conditions / More Details:
2x Epyc 7B12, CuteChess, 1 Core, Ponder OFF, 1m+06s, 128 MB Hash, 4-MEN
Unique suite used and as usual, each of the opening line is played as twice
Note also that all matches are played via GUI's Concurrent option: 58
Concurrent numbers dropped, the reason high room temps, where I live...
Actually Dual processors are cooled via 2x NH-U12S TR4-SP3, but against
Any kind of risks...for these testings, Air Conditioner is used as well )
You may know, Dual EPYC machine is not so cheap, at least where I live!

As Final Words,
I'm doing my best since many years..mainly for Computer Chess's progress!
And I hope that you like my chess activities.. sure they are not perfect, but..
That's all from Me... !)

Have Fun,
Sedat

Your effort is very appreciated, precisely because of your tournaments users have better references about opening books and engines. It is a fact that while some users lean towards the strongest, others pass by and prefer an engine with which they can practice without being gutted in a thousand tries. Users like me, who follow your blog, are competitive and look for the best of the best. So while we have fun we also challenge ourselves.
Thank you for that enormous selfless love and effort in your work.

Dear Anton,

Thank you very much for your kind words...!
Otherwise, without the good people like you,
I'd lose my interest and love to chess since
A long time...

About the recent attacks etc.towards my address,
Sad really...e.g my chess work is 20+ years online...
And so far, no one/s said that I am as liar...really!
Exception on OpenChess plus once in Outskirts forum
And exactly by same member/s but this is life and
No any guarantee, what tomorrow is expecting us!
And what is more strange,
Outskirts forum has so strict rules, but it all depends..
I'd rather say there are VIP members...but it seems
I was not so...even I was banned...for what ?
Very likely in their eyes:
My work is so cheap.. at least it seems so...

On other hand,
I wonder too? how many may offer help to the ones,
Who often used bad words over Me...e.g recently
I offered a help to Deeds e.g how to create stronger
Database and in same time stronger book ? very likely
After all.. not many may appear...I can talk more...
But what will be changed...?

Best wishes,
Sedat

As long as one has the opportunity and privileges to do what one loves and enjoys, let the world go round (as long as no one gets hurt). It is not like this?

Yes, agreed and as you said
Let's the world go around...

But sometimes is not so bad idea e.g
To check what happens in our world )

Meanwhile,
This is also true that, if I was:

1. Not organizing Book tournaments
Or
2. Not organizing Exp tournaments
Or
3. Testing/Using as main engine SugaR
Or
4. Not running similarity Eng testings

Etc. and etc.

Then very likely (in latest days / weeks):
OpenChess would not contain so many postings,
E.g just on this thread (in short time): 21 pages...
Besides, so good or bad words etc. over Me!
Sure in same time, I have to admit also that
I'd not run latest Learning/Concurrent tests )

In other words,
Sedat is Sedat...Reality is Reality )
And feel the differences in SCCT !)
