Blue Marlin 15.3a

Post by dorsz » Sun Aug 14, 2022 3:13 pm

Blue Marlin - Stockfish derivative that provides sharp and attractive games.

Blue Marlin 15.3a still uses the old architecture as the net used in it is great for sacrifices and attacks. The engine is suitable for playing and analyzing, it supports Polyglot books now.

Dear Doesz!!
I tested the BM 15.3a and found it much better and more complete than the BM 15.2 and 15.3, thanks Dorsz

Yes, it's true. BM15.3a is the strongest and the best at tactics from all BM engines.

Thank you so much Dorsz!

Your DOTS set is very good, I see a lot of things that look like an actual chess game, not man-made, I don't know if you took it from actual chess games or not.

I want to know BM 15.3a passed all the tests on the DOTS? Also, is there any other engine that outperforms the DOTS sets?

I think all positions are from real games.

BM15.3a could not pass all tests on DOTS, because DOTS is an opening test suite for engine matches.

Stronger engines should perform better, but I do focus on testing all engines so I don't know

Thank you very much Dorsz!

Blue Marlin 15.3a 1-0 Lc0, 2700X|3080, G/2min+1.5secs
After 19.Bx(N)d5
FEN: r2q1rk1/1p3pbp/p5p1/P2B1P2/3nP3/7R/1PP3PP/R1B1Q1K1 b - - 0 19
BM allowed 19...Nx(pawn)c2 forking its Ra1 and Qe1,
then 20.Qg3! sacrificing the R 20...Nx(R)a1 21.Rx(pawn)h7!! {Diagram} offering the other R,
after 21...Nb3 22.fx(pawn)g6 of course ignoring the N, Lc0 finally saw that it was lost and that 22...Qx(B)d5 giving up its Q, would survive the longest, though BM gave up the exchange also 23.Rx(B)g7+! before accepting the Q.
