Hello, new user here.
I've been looking for a gaviota compatible engine for several days with relative success. None seems to have all the features I would desire, these are: Gaviota compatibility (for endgames study), MultiPV and preferably opensourced.
I've try a lot of them, being the most succesful:
- Gaviota itself, which problems are, not being opensource (the engine, the probe code indeed is), weird behaviour with multipv
- Texel, weird behaviour with multipv
- stockfish-PA_GTB, no proper multipv
- cinnamon, not finding mate succesfully, no multipv
- pawny, same here
- critter, same here
Am I doing something wrong? Is gaviota compatibility some kind of "cursed" feature?
Thanks in advance!

Commercial:
Houdini uses GTB files.
Chiron uses GTB files.
This link shows several open source engines that use GTB that you did not mention:
https://sites.google.com/site/gaviotach ... blebases-1
Give a sample position and show exactly what is going wrong.
"Weird behavior" is ambiguous at best.
