Yes, it was a crude blunder and in a way I feel that I should apologize for it, since it completely disrupted the course of the game.
I managed to identify the source of the error: Qd2 was what I wanted to play after 38...Qe5 - without the check on e4 - with a winning position. After 38...Qe4 39.Kc1 Qe5, I had planned 40.Qb4, also with a winning position. When I saw your 39...Qe5, I somehow confused these lines and set up the wrong position in my analysis, and finally ended up sending the wrong move.
Concerning another game: If we do this, I should really start from a worse position for a change. I will get back to you after the holidays. By the way, happy holidays!
