NYC's Village Chess Shop closes its doors

I was just there a few weeks ago and actually thought 'this is not a viable retail environment' -- lots of dudes hanging out and playing chess, but nothing obvious to buy, and no one obviously doing the selling. I was kind of disappointed, since I was looking for a chess set...
