You're right. But for deterrence, KLO could simply have posted: The Deep Matrix cloner failed because R. Houdart designed his code to prevent simple replacement of the author ID string.

Deterrent in the sense that it was stopping people from doing it right (e.g. people would have ended with a clone that set Robert as the Author.)

Yes, I know but I was momentarily amused by both Uly’s oxymoron and the apparent irony inherent in the situation. I think that your previous point was correct; anyone capable of benefiting from KLO’s disclosure would not have chosen such a crude cloning technique.
