Yes, but their SP version will remain forever free, something I'd appreciate if other commercial programs did.

Yep -- looking forward to purchasing it. For the record, I have nothing against commercial software (I write it for a living, after all). You know what my problem with Houdini is.

May be I'm so crazy but i been thinking all this time that Robert Houdart has something to do whith rybka ....he is the only one know very good rybka and the onlyone can beat rybka

Unless commercial engines' sources codes are available for inspection (by a special group) to ensure actual codes from open-source and/or GPLed programs are not in commercial engines, then I feel confident to buy. If not, then I refuse to be taken for a "fool" by commercial engine authors on their commercial engines that could otherwise be a "repackaged" open-source GPL'ed engines.

Call me a pessimist, anti-democratic or whatever, but as long as commercial source codes are closed and/or unverifiable for authenticity, I'm always suspicious of commercial authors, with no special preferences.
