I've decided to bite the bullet and move my chess software over to a Win7 64-bit "machine". The only software I'm having trouble with is Chessimo. When I launch it, I get a "Run-time error '76': Path not found" error and the program exits. It works fine on XP (32-bit). Anyone else using this software under W7x64? Thanks,
Jeremy

Re: Chessimo 3.24 Runtime Error 76
version 3.10 is working (almost) perfect on my Windows 7 x64
I wrote "almost" because there is a minor glitch about board size. Everytime I run the program I must open Preferences dialog box in order to restore the board size to default, otherwise it is too large, doesn't fit the screen (1920x1080 resolution).

Care to try updating to 3.24? I just want to know if it works on your system (if not you can always downgrade). I've tried it on W7-32 and it's fine. But W7-64 just doesn't work and their support won't admit that there's an issue (although I've tried it on 2 systems now). If someone wouldn't mind just downloading the demo from chessimo.com and installing it to see if it runs (it gives an error and quits on launch for me), that would be really helpful. Pretty please?

Re: Chessimo 3.24 Runtime Error 76
OK, after weeks of very slow communication with Chessimo support, I was finally able to convince them that there is a problem. Here is the simple workaround:
1. Install 3.40
2. On top of it, install 3.42
Now everything is fine. Strangely, 3.40 by itself doesn't work, nor 3.42, but together, they function properly. Kind of like in the Dark Crystal, but a little different.
Hope this helps someone else.
