Hi, i have a macbook, and want the strongest possible engine for it. There is Shredder & Hiarcs. Rybka is not compatible without technical acrobatics. How about Houdini, Stockfish et al...

Stockfish, Komodo and you can compile IvanHoe for Mac, too, which is probably the strongest option, depending on how you define "strong". I do most of my chessing under Parallels with Windows engines, but generally use Shredder and HIARCS if I'm checking something Mac-side.

I simply want the best silicon 'advice' to analyse my chess games. Which is the best platform to run Stockfish and Ivanhoe on?
