hudini source code?

It sounds a good time to release Hudini source code after the breakthrough of version 1.5. This will allow other souls to contribute to make it even better,

No, that would be the worst thing he could do!

Robert knows his program best and he's an excellent chess programmer (just look at the 50+ Elo improvement within a few months), so I'm sure he will be able to make it even better in the future.

OTOH what would happen if it's open source? There would be dozens (if not hundreds) of different versions with all kinds of small modifications, but no true improvements - exactly the same situation as for Ivanhoe since almost one year.

I agree, Robert is very talented and should stick with what he's been doing. The Ivanhoes are just a mess of changes with no real improvement. Robert has managed to do what Ivanhoe couldn't in a very short amount of time...Crush Rybka, and become the undisputed #1 chess engine in the world.
