I didn't even download it at the first place, when original Deep Blue was playing chess even the Universal Chess Interface (UCI) wasn't invented, so...

Still, people have made ports and replicas of old engines (Eg. Franz Huber's MESSCHESS emulations, Tom7's emulation of the NES Chessmaster, and the various replicas of Turochamp and the Smith One Move Analyser)

stockfish is everywhere, on servers its stockfish galore. It doesn't matter the if people change a few things, the fact is its still stockfish but in a way that the moder wants it to play.
