Stockfish detected as malware?

Post by chess-wizard » Thu Sep 22, 2011 3:06 am

The stockfish win32 engine downloaded from stockfishchess.com, stockfish-211-32-ja.exe, is detected as a malware, by the infamous chinese anti-virus qihoo 360. I think I have to recompile it in the next release of Chess Wizard.

Is this engine also reported as threat by other anti-viruses?

More than likely a false alarm; the md5sum:

Code: Select all

PAWN : Knight >> Bishop >> Rook >>Queen
