The GUI and the features implemented so far is awesome!AartBik wrote:Great! Please let me know what you think.Swaminathan wrote:Thanks, Aart. Will update it!
Will download a lot of other engines, and see the real game between engines.
I tried loading pgn files from SCID folder. It takes a long time to load commented games Pgn consisting of 20k games. It does load 3.5k tactical puzzles pgn, though. When I select one of the puzzles, it shows the answer as the start position itself, also there was no arrow to go to the next puzzle in the list.

This update introduces a lot of new features, but all related to improving tournament play. Sorry. Loading very large PGN files may be a little slow, because I actually load all data into memory (so I can later add a feature to skip through the games, or do something along your idea of having a series of puzzles). So many feature I would still like to add....

No hurry, Aart. Take your time. I'm very impressed with the tournament feature with ability to import ultra strong engines such as Ivanhoe, Stockfish, Komodo etcAartBik wrote:Hi Swami,Swaminathan wrote:I tried loading pgn files from SCID folder. Of all chess programs, I like both SCID and chess for Android equally the most! These android apps are more than enough for me!

Very good!
Re: Chess for Android 2.9
A quick question. Would it allow two engine running at the same time. Now there are duel-core processor, it should be possible in principle. Same question for the chess software for iphone.

Planned new features for Chess for Android include pondering (where one engine thinks even when it is the other engine's turn), infinite analysis, and better time control.wx2010 wrote:A quick question.
