Importing engines into ChessGUI

I have neither Winboard nor Arena installed on my computer.
Can some people test importing Winboard or Arena engines into ChessGUI 0.218 and report here ?

Matthias.

It worked partially; the default engines that come with Arena, Rybaka 4 all worked. Stockfish, Critter, IvanHoe had issues importing -- they appear immediately, but when you go back to edit engines, they are missing. Although the regular setup works for these engines. Did a strace of the import process redirect to a log file but it's over 100MB. :)

Note: this was done under Linux environment using wine. So results could differ for native Windows.

Thanks. I may have to install those GUIs and their engines, just to test the import feature.

I have also tried with default install ,just make two folders ,Arena 3.0 and ChessGui_net.

Then import engines from Arena..

C:\Program Files\Chess\Arena 3.0\ArenaENG.cfg

goes in one second (8 engines) on my laptop ,but he also installed the 64bit versions as my laptop running 32bit OS..ofcourse easy to remove them!
So,i don't know if it's possible to let ChessGui recognize whitch operating system you are running.
Then again,if i run 64bit OS then i can ofcourse install also the 32bit versions. (if i want to use them)

ChessGUI can detect whether OS is 32/64 bit, but cannot detect whether engine is 32/64 bit.
