And one interesting subject is sometimes we see exactly a same engine with a fixed source code while compiling by two different persons shows different performances in all the tests. I remember this when SFpb was compiled by both Skynet and chessman. I am sure that you remember those days. I want to say that it seemed even the playing style was also a little different although it was only one source code and only one engine SFpb. This is the point that I can’t understand why, as a veterinarian who knows almost nothing about chess programming and making engines.
Best regards Mr. Sedat
Not at all.. Mr. Homayoun
Oh..yes... you have right...
What I can say more, according to my experience:
Actually...let's say the target is to build a good rating list
And just in case.. we used to test exactly same copy of engines
Then we can not expect exactly same identical Elo points...
Sure as same words are going for opening books as well
But what I know, usually
the strongest books, engines are getting closer or at higher places!
E.g as other examples,
https://sites.google.com/site/computers ... t-nn-cs-32
I do not think that RapTora 2.2, LittleBest 2, Brainlearn SugaR, etc
Are managed occasionally to be ranked at one of Top ranks...
I mean this is not as a luck for sure!
On other hand,
Some engines are doing better under Bullet, some better under Blitz etc..
And if I am going to give examples: Eman 8.91's performance seems to be so...
E.g under Bullet, Eman is performed about 20 Elo less than RapTora:
https://sites.google.com/site/computers ... t-nn-cs-33
But under Blitz conditions, Eman performed as one of best:

Public distribution of Stockfish clones without source code is illegal. The download link to Eman 8.91 was therefore illegal. In fact, Khalid Omar has decided to keep his engine private. It's his baby and nobody has the right to ask Khalid to make Eman public. Khalid is good natured and that's why he had been sharing Eman with all interested fans for a while. In the Infinity Chess Forum. But one day one of the Stockfish developers came to the forum and asked Khalid for the source code of Eman. After a few days of deliberation, Khalid decided not to give the source code. He then had to delete all Eman download links. Since then Eman has rested in peace (RIP Eman, see InfinityChess Forum).
Peace be with you!

Hello, does anyone have a download link to Eman 9.2??
You'd better send a PM to one of the Eman beta testers (criko at talkchess, supercomputer at infinitychess, etc.).

Well, while we are talking about Eman and Stockfish..
I realized to run another new Simex 2's similarity test
Where this time the conditions: 8 Threads, 1024 MB hash
Plus as time control is used: 3000 ms (3 sec per move)
Note also that before starting the current new similarity test,
Both engines' hash are cleaned ... sure previous Eman's exp too!
And here is the latest new Similarity Report:
3. Engine Eman 8.91 and Stockfish 010423 show a similarity of 86.79%
More Details,
I used same dates engines, e.g both are modified dates: 01.04.2023
And this is still 3 seconds (per move)..btw I strongly believe in that
If we'd give 30-40 seconds or higher...then very likely their similarities
Would be minus plus 95%
I'd like to point also that,
Now it is already clear that (in case of comparing both testings etc.)
Via 1 thread, 100 ms vs 8 threads, 3000 ms = difference is about 10%

EDIT
Via 1 thread, 100 ms vs 8 threads, 3000 ms = difference is about 20%
Sure I mean about the similarities are higher... more close to each other!
