Re: Save The Date: Sharpie 1.0
It turns out this engine is 64 bit only so I can't even test it myself. I only have a 32 bit OS and don't have the money yet to afford a 64 bit system. So Sharpie is off my list of engines to test. I'll have to stick with Stockfish and Komodo.
Re: Save The Date: Sharpie 1.0
at the first read i was very excited (genetic, 64-bit, selfsame-stuff); on the second look:
(assuming the gui-engine-bundle is windows-only, again)
this app must be very big in size then, because almost noone of the engine-room-enthusiasts have set up a development environment on their boxes, haven't they? does he intent to ship gcc with it? or java stuff (would an engine coded in java even run in guis from chessbase?)?
keen to hear more from the scientist Graviton...
cheers

Graviton sounds genuine to me, but even if he isn't we don't lose anything, it's free and it's coming out this Friday so it's not like we have to wait forever either.

What did I say ? It was just another Ben Lau, or whatever he calls himself bullshit. I am surprised that some people still fall for it...
