What about the problem in Arena 3? Almost always Houdini with ponder on lost in tournaments after book mooves with "Arena Adjudication. Illegal move!"!!!!!!
Does the same problem exist in Arena 2.5 or Arena 2.0?
Robert
No problem with arena 2. I don't checked it with arena 2.5. I have already send to Michael Diosi (arena) engine logs to solve the problem..
and what did michael answered ?
if the problem is only with latest arena versions, it is an arena bug, not a houdini bug.

Yes, when I ran tournaments with different chess engines, Arena 3.0 gave for about 50% of the time the error : "Arena adjudication illegal move" and then bombs out.
Highly frustrated when one ran tournaments!
The Arena 2.5 version does it for about 20% of the time, but the 2.0 version ran flawlessly so far. I now only use version 2.0 until Arena 3.0 is upgraded again.
I also thus suspects that it must be the Arena software and not Houdini, because it does it with any chess engine against any other engine...
