Hello there )

New Strength Test of 2700+ Elo!

Well, the target to see, which are close to Fruit 2.1
2700 Elo points..In other words, in future book tours:
I may use some of the current chess engines..yes, they
May weaker..but fun is one of most important, right ?)
If nothing else, here the engines are not so Drawish!

Btw, if you ask: why Fruit main engine? not any other one?
Well, Fruit is one of the best, stable.. and if I'm not wrong,
As 1st ever engine that started to support native BIN books!
Is this all? not of course, mother of many engines (in past)!
Actually 'Fruit' perfectly suits/fully deserves its name..!!

Meanwhile, due to no much free time for all:
I did not test all engines with or without own books, but
Some new data is already available.. in short, now you may
Check e.g Junior 10.1 and Gogobello 1.3 or any other's points,
Where with own books or with Unique book, and you will see
Theirs strength are much different..and just do not ask why ?!)
Because before... I already explained many times about over...

Code: Select all

And as final words, we are in 2025, but unfortunately,
Almost all of engines released as without book support..
Strange really..but no BIG problem..in SCCT, there are
Always solutions...that fixes mostly of the problems !)
And not since today or yesterday...since many years!
Anyhow let's hope to see better chess engines in 2025!

Greetings

Breaking News - 26.02.2025:
The current own books competition ended congrats and many thanks to all!
Note: Crafty 23 is re-tested with a different own book..and performed better.
E.g in recent unofficial:Results, Crafty is played with other but weaker book..
And once more, all participated engines are close to GMs 2700+ Elo, used
To play with theirs own opening books, where Bobcat is performed as best!
About Fruit, Franchesca,Rodent etc it seems theirs books are not so strong..
However, it's not a World CS, just a FUN tour...enjoy with latest new results..
Meanwhile, please stay tuned: a new Online-Like Book CS coming.. at least
I can say for now: a such exciting tournament for 1st time will be organized..

2700+ Eng and Own Book Champion: Bobcat - Congrats to Gunnar Harms!

Thank you very much Sedat. Your tour and the champion name remembered me matches between two old competitors. Texel and bobcat. They were good competitors for each other. I remembered those good days.
Best regards

Special congratulations to Sedat for hosting such a fun and competitive event. It was a time when chess engines were still in their infancy, and developers were working tirelessly to improve their creations. This tournament is a celebration of those efforts, bringing together some of the most iconic engines of the past.

Yes...these engines are as good movie, song.. that never die!

Meanwhile, what I can add more:
Bobcat's own book is newer than Fruit's own book, e.g:
Fruit's own book is oldest, which belongs to 2005 year,
Where Bobcat's own released on 2011, so 'time' favors
As advantage for Bobcat's side..

Anyhow, in my eyes:
Fruit is Champ too, e.g in past (during 2004-2005 years),
Not many were capable to play over than 2700+ Elo points!
And Fruit was one of 1st that passed 2700+ Elo barrier...
