When at SedatChess they claim that a SF clone targeted for correspondence analysis (=Corchess) is the best engine out there for tournanent play at bullet time controls (=TC 15 sec + 300 ms) :

I see.

So by this, we are to assume that Stockfish development has regressed 14 Elo (only 1008 games using UHO book) since November 22, 2024? For the uninformed, Alex's SF-PB is Stockfish with polyglot book code added. No other modifications to the source.

I will believe Stefan Pohl's testing any day compared to this thing. The reason? See here (right on, Viz :D)

I am not convinced that this TD has realized its own contradictions :
- engine optimized for correspondence games better than stockfish at bullet
- engine optimized for UHO openings list (=low draw rate) better with UNIQUE openings list (=high draw rate)
- etc

Here are the best TD statements to make your day :

Honestly, it's tough to say if the 14 Elo drop is significant without more context, but the engine optimizations definitely seem to be causing some contradictions. As for the TD comments, it's always interesting when people get passionate about the details, but it feels like there's a bit of everything being said in the mix.

Nowhere on the planet is a F1 more efficient off-road than a Jeep. At SedatChess  it's usual.

ps : @Rulleeeee, when we know that 1 single approximate move can lead to a defeat even if the game contains 100 moves, imagine the impact with a 35% difference !!!

In France, we have an expression for that : "stubborn as a mule"

Recent Sedat's confessions :
Sedat wrote: ...Moreover, I never said that older Depth4 2023 or 2025 book are
Exactly same as Depth4 exp series..there is no such thing..
source
Sedat wrote: ...Anyhow, since I am not owner of Depth EXP,
I have no much idea about the differences...

OK so Sedat has understood his Depth4 2025 BIN book has not the same accuracy as my Depth4 EXP files.

But Sedat is still surprised :
Sedat wrote: ...Unfortunately Depth4 2025 lost..strange...
...Frankly, this is really as shocking news!!...
source

This umpteenth Sedat's failure was predictable because the training games of my Depth4 EXP files also contain the moves from the opening lists i used to train them.

Let's keep laughing !

Reminder : I train my Depth4 EXP files on my own. I never sent them to anyone in order to enter into any competitions. I have always listed the opening lists (20 first moves, ghppn, silver gambit, tcec, etc.) and the sparring partners (engines, bin books, exp files) I used to train them.

And yet here are the Sedat's conclusions :
Sedat wrote: ...Deeds, who seems to be Responsible for all the openings...
...Today you've lost...
...it's time to wake up...
...Current failure provides valuable lessons for you...
...Learn from your mistakes...
...don't blame others!...
...you've another serious hole...
etc.
source

:difus_rofl :difus_rofl :difus_rofl

But hey Sedat admitted that :
Sedat wrote: ...I do not know about how does it looks from your side...
...you are free to believe it or not...
...I've no much experience...

In 2025, there is only one TD left who is still testing the EXP files with a concurrency > 1
