Yeah, I found that simplified too fast, too easy, I need to find some variation where things remain closed and strategical, or that's what I think.

Take as much time as you need, vacation is vacation! :mrgreen:

A good attempt at avoiding the Najdorf would have been to not play c5 ;)

1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 Nf6 4. Nc3 cxd4 5. Nxd4 Bd7 6. Bg5

Well I knew Don Quijote was playing e4 and my money was on BN not playing c5. This was my only sure bet at not overlapping ideas. That is also the reason for me not playing h6 before.

I don't mind overlapping ideas at all, it makes my analysis more efficient.
