White advantage in Comp vs Comp

Post by Springerrr » Sun Nov 08, 2015 8:47 pm

Hello,

Please forgive me if this question has been posted before or is already well-known in your community.

Does white have a measurable advantage in computer vs computer games. Is the advantage as large as it is in the human world?

Thanks!

Comp vs comp games are usually played with truncated books, which affects the advantage. Probably it is about the same in either human or computer games, around 35 Elo (55% score). But if books are used freely, then the comp-comp games would have a (much) higher draw percentage, with attendant reduction of the perceived Elo edge.
