PlayChess : Script Error

Hello.

I stopped playing on PlayChess for more than 6 months, and since I restarted playing yesterday I have this annoying message each time I enter in the Main Playing Hall :
Script Error

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Line: 1
Char: 7
Error: Invalid character
Code: 0
URL: http://en.chessbase.com/resources/adv/banner.js

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
Yes - No

And when I click on "Yes" or on "No" the message just dissapears and there doesn't seem to be any other problem (exept perhaps that I find PlayChess a little slow).

So, how do I get rid of this annoying message once and for all ?

I already tried : Control Panel > Network and Internet > Internet Options > Advanced.
And then I tried to tick/untick these three boxes to see if it changes something : Display a notification about every script error, Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer), Disable script debugging (Other).
But it didn't solve the problem..

Thanks in advance.

This seems to be the webpage errors because playchess uses the Microsoft Internet Explorer engine.

Maybe your IE is a bit old and needs updating.
Maybe your Playchess client is a bit older and also requires an update.
Or simply it is a mistake from their web server and there nothing to do except contact customer support.

I suggest:
At first update the software playchess. (But it depends on what ChessBase software you use to connect to playchess, older versions are no longer supported)
In a second step, to "Windows Update", including software updates (not only security fix).

I just saw the capture screen and I see that you are using W8 and a recent product of CB.

This is an error from the web server.

Try to open this link http://en.chessbase.com/PlayChess/events.aspx in internet explorer, the error will certainly reproduce exactly.
Then with another browser such as Firefox or another.

This must come from the parameters of Internet Explorer. You have to uncheck something like "see javascipts errors" in the Internet Options of windows.
