Match between two Computers

I have two spare laptops . Is there a way i can do a match between these two machines. I have only free software with me

You can log both machines onto FICS and do the tournament that way.

You can use an RS232 adapter:

Or you could use my tool to play over the network using any chess engine, chess book, or chess gui. See here:
