New users have limitations until they've proved that they aren't spamming the forum. As of now, you should be capable of editing, though -- I'm pretty sure you become a full member after 2 good posts.

Yep , I can edit my posts.

No limit on the # of times, but you only have ~20 minutes or so before the post becomes permanent.
