Are the best you can find? There are much better ones around from me and other people you have published. What about a few from the CCC moderators forum?

"The Bitter Tears of Cock de Gorter"?
"HIARCS and the Seven Deadly Sins Part IV - Gluttony"
Let's do part 1 1st? Not sure we will get a budget from Jeremy for 4.

"The Bitter Tears of Cock de Gorter"?
"Because I can"?
This is the winner. Maybe it's time to wrap this thread up, though. I posted the original link in, as Harvey wrote, good faith, and didn't intend this to become a referendum on Harvey's character. Clearly I underestimated the reaction that would be evoked. However, class cuts both ways, and I think this has gone far beyond the frontier of insulting posting. Can we drop it?

Jeremy
Because I Can. Sounds good Jeremy. Having a forum where you are free to start a thread and have a debate about what you choose is 1 thing. Having a forum where every thread gets hijacked by the same few people can not be good.

Your recommendation? Should I take a cue from the HIARCS forum and start deleting posts from people you don't like? I could ban a couple of users, if you think it would help. Or maybe I should recognize that you're speaking in hyperbole ad absurdum.

Harvey, this forum was founded on the principle that everyone in the computer chess community, including you, Chris, hell even Graham Banks, can speak his mind, but that no one, not me, not you, has the authority to forcibly shape the course of debate, beyond the use of rhetorical skills or appeals to common sense.

I'm sorry that you've accumulated so many enemies in your various honorary positions of unchecked authority, and I'm genuinely sorry that those enemies are being mean to you here. You have the option of no longer baiting the hook, of course.

Nor do I agree with your hyperbolic assessment of the situation, as any survey of the current range of active topics will confirm.

Jeremy

If you believe Thorsten that is up to you. He is still not deleted in fact. He was banned after several warnings. But if course you can believe who you want. I am not saying anyone should force the debate. As you state if you want to discuss CB start a thread about it don't hijack every thread I ever post in. Same applies to any other user Thorsten does not like. So many enemies lol - maybe half a dozen who all hide here. But it is fun to see them posting without any real evidence.

its especially important to threaten and delete and later ban all people who disagree with the opinion that the programs sold by the company who owns the forum are the best products one can imagine.

thats called capitalism.

lets say: if you post something "constructive", e.g. good reviews or fan-postings,
we let you do. if you critisize our products or licence-agreements
5. THUERINGEN 2010 TOURNAMENT RESTRICTION
This Software may not be used to play in the forthcoming Thueringen tournament
of 2010, if that tournament includes Ippolit or any of its derivatives (variously
named Igorrit, Robbolito, Firebird, IvanHoe and Tankist), except with the
express premission of Amir Ban or Shay Bushinsky.
we will ban you.

so in the final end of the year 2010, harvey was banned himself.

maybe his behaviour was not "constructive"

He was banned after several warnings.

i was banned because i critisized your sales campaign for junior.
you said: my postings were not constructive.

indeed they were not, from your point of view as a salesman in the hiarcs-empire.

But if course you can believe who you want. I am not saying anyone should force the debate. As you state if you want to discuss CB start a thread about it don't hijack every thread I ever post in. look harvey. we are "hiding" HERE.
we post HERE because in this forum there is no commercial control like in the CCC or hiarcs- or rybka-forum where people like you control who is "constructive" and who is NOT constructive for your sales-department.

and... you maybe cannot imagein... but this has not changed since times chessbase and several dedicated chess computer companies sold their stuff in the world.

today those groups are without power.
and you can be sure... in a few years, some more companies and despotic sales-men will be without power too.

so happy days defining the constructice licence agreements :-)

no. but you support stuff like this. you even call for the police
(amir ban / David Levy, Mark Uniacke) because they banned you
from leiden-tournament. so it seems there is a connection
between you and them, isn't it ?
